P2X Solutions - Green Reindeer (FI08)

P2X Solutions Ltd is the forerunner of the Finnish hydrogen and e-fuel market. The company is currently constructing Finland’s first industrial-scale green hydrogen electrolysis plant to be operational in 2024 and hence opening the Finnish hydrogen market. The company targets to reach 1 GW of electrolysis capacity by 2031.

The IPCEI project Green Reindeer consists of electrolyser capacity of 70 MW and hydrogen refuelling station network. The target of the Project is to further support the development of the Northern European hydrogen market and the European Hydrogen Backbone by increasing hydrogen production and distribution capacity. The end products of the plants will be directed to both industry and mobility. The first phase of the project will be located in Joensuu, Eastern Finland. The plant is expected to be operational in late 2025. P2X Solutions is collaborating with various European companies in connection with the Project.

Finland has favourable conditions for green hydrogen production and the country aims to produce up to 10 % of the European renewable hydrogen by 2030.
