Poland unveils draft H2 law
The Polish government has announced a draft hydrogen law, which would include incentives for electrolyser companies and bring regulations in line with EU-level legislation.
Three definitions of clean hydrogen are set out in the draft law:
- Low-carbon hydrogen, which can be produced from any source including fossil fuels as long as there are “appropriate emission reductions” such as via carbon capture and storage
- Renewable hydrogen, from any renewable energy source
- Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBO), which must be produced according to the EU’s definition
