Iveco Czech Republic - Fuel Cell Powered Intercity Bus (CZ02)

IVECO BUS in the Czech Republic (“IVECO CZ”, “Iveco Bus”, “Company”) is a manufacturing company that designs, products and sells a wide assortment of public transport vehicles (buses), which meet the most demanding requirements of public and private customers. The history of IVECO CZ BUS goes back to 1895 thus we have been over 125 years in the market. Thanks to IVECO experience and the strong background of the IVECO Group, IVECO CZ buses have successfully commercialized all over the world today. In Vysoké Mýto IVECO produces more 4 700 buses per year (data for year 2022). In Czech production plant in Vysoké Mýto the company focuses on intercity IVECO buses production. The most successful model (with more than 50,000 sold units) is a Crossway line, which is favoured by customers all over Europe with a market share close to 45% in EU.

IVECO CZ Bus would  like to focus on hydrogen intercity and touristic buses. Key objective of the Company Hy2Tech project is deployment of hydrogen powered vehicles for all mobility use with main focus on interurban (hydrogen Crossway Low Entry) and regional and long distance  segments (Crossway ), which are still dominated  by diesel powered vehicles with large CO2 and NOx emissions. The hydrogen powered range will be based on the best in class Iveco Crossway range in Europe.The company will aim to achieve outstanding technical characteristics and performance, currently not present on the market, jointly with providing convenient TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) to end users by using hydrogen powered vehicles.
