H2-Fifty (NL51)
H2-Fifty will be one of Europe’s largest green hydrogen production facilities to help reduce CO2 emissions and support the transition to a sustainable future. The H2-Fifty project envisions the development of a large-scale green hydrogen production facility, which would play a key role in the Port of Rotterdam’s hydrogen vision and in supporting the decarbonisation of the bp Rotterdam Refinery and other high-emission industries.
The H2-Fifty project brings together leaders in their respective fields – integrated energy company bp and green hydrogen solutions provider HyCC – who share a powerful joint goal: to lower harmful emissions and provide a pathway to more sustainable fuels. To achieve this, the H2-Fifty project partners intend to jointly develop and operate a 250-megawatt water electrolysis plant to produce green hydrogen in the Port of Rotterdam.
