Elogen’s Gigafactory - Development and manufacture of innovative stacks for PEM electrolysers (FR13)

ELOGEN is a French manufacturer of PEM electrolysers active at worldwide level. ELOGEN’s electrolysers generate hydrogen using water electrolysis, based on proton exchange membrane (“PEM”) technology. The company has developed a range of electrolysers from 500 kilowatt (“kW”) to several dozens of megawatt (“MW”), suited for diversified projects from small to large industry applications as well as mobility applications.

The main objective of the Gigafactory project is to massively produce PEM stacks with a highly automatised industrial tool, thanks to its intense RDI and industrial works. By investing into a brand-new Gigafactory plant with both RDI activities and stack production capacities, the main objectives are:

  • carry out RDI activities to develop innovative stacks
  • build and set up all automated production line for stack component and stack unit/module;
  • set up the logistics chain for material/component supply and products delivery.

 This facility will be located in Vendôme in Loir-et-Cher (France) and the production will start in 2025 with a volume up to 1GW/year.
