Elcogen AS (EE05)

The project EE05 is executed by the company Elcogen AS in cooperation with other direct and indirect partners of IPCEi Hy2 Tech. Elcogen is a developer and manufacturer of Solid Oxide (SOC) technology and involved in technical fields TF1 (Development and Production of H2 Generation Technology, WS 1.1 Electrolysers) and TF2 (Development and Production of Fuel Cells, WS 2.1 Fuel cells for mobility and WS 2.2 Fuel cells for stationary application). Elcogen’s main objective is to focus on developing a next generation system core products (cells, stacks, modules), its validation and integration into IPCEI partners’ system prototypes, and also designing advanced pilot lines to enable its industrialisation. The final goal of the research work is to build a gigafactory in Estonia taking profit from the results of these projects.

Project EE05 start is July 2023. Development of SOC technology core products (cells and stacks) will be in Estonia during first 2-3 years since project start. Core products as parts of systems will be validated in different European countries in cooperation with IPCEI partners during 2025-2027.
